We’ve got exciting news to share—Cycling Without Age Adirondack Coast has officially added two new trishaws to the fleet!
The Van Raam Velo Plus - a wheelchair model that will allow those, who are unable to sit up on their own or get into a regular trishaw, enjoy a ride from the comforts of their own wheelchair.
The Van Raam Chat - similar to our first trishaw model yet with a wider seat and a lowering footrest.
If you’re new here, welcome. We’re a community-rooted initiative that offers free, leisurely bike rides to elder adults and people of all ages with limited mobility. Our “passengers” ride up front in a specially designed electric-assist trishaw, while a trained volunteer “pilot” pedals from behind. The goal is simple: to connect generations, share stories, and help people feel the wind in their hair again.
Thanks to the generous support of local sponsors and donors, our newest trishaws will allow more pilots to be on the road each day, helping us to serve more people in more places, more often.
Every ride we offer is an opportunity for joy, connection, and community. Whether it’s a quiet morning loop or a golden hour cruise, these rides are about slowing down, being present, and enjoying the world together.
Want to get involved? There are lots of ways to support Cycling Without Age:
Become a pilot – We’ll train you!
Sponsor or donate – Every dollar helps expand access.
Spread the word – Tell a neighbor, share a post, invite a friend to ride along.
These new trishaws are more than bikes—they are a symbol of what’s possible when a community comes together with care and purpose. We’re so grateful to be growing, and we’re always looking for more folks to join the journey.
Let’s keep moving forward, together.
